We love salmon…I mean my family really loves it. Each year, we buy a lot of it from a friend of a friend of a friend who is an Alaskan Salmon fisherman. We deep freeze it and enjoy it all year long. It’s quite amazing.
I didn’t grow up eating salmon, so it became a rather acquired taste in my early 20’s. I have found that when I’ve shared this recipe for Teriyaki Salmon + Roasted Brussels Sprouts in the past, people either love it or they dislike salmon so they don’t try it. So, if you’re unsure about salmon or want to give it a whirl again, try this one out! The teriyaki marinade combines so well with the intense flavors of salmon. And the roasted Brussels sprouts…oh my heavenly stars, yaaassssss!
These roasted Brussels sprouts are a great side dish for just about everything. Add it next to a seared steak, oven-roasted chicken breasts, other white fish! You name, roasted Brussels sprouts have become an all-around perfect side dish in our home.

Teriyaki Salmon + Roasted Brussels Sprouts
A delicious combination of teriyaki salmon plus roasted brussels sprouts makes a meal that will delight all the senses!
Ingredients
- Teriyaki Marinade + Salmon:
- 2 tsp. fish sauce
- 4 T. coconut aminos
- 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
- 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
- kosher or fine sea salt + freshly ground black pepper
- 2-1 lb. salmon fillets, pinbones removed
- Brussels Sprouts:
- 1 pkg. fresh brussels sprouts
- 2-3 T. extra virgin olive oil
- kosher or sea salt + freshly ground black pepper
- 4 slices of fully cooked & chopped bacon (optional, but makes it VERY good!)
- Garnishes:
- Chopped green onions
Directions
- Step 1 Preheat the oven to 400 F.
- Step 2 Whisk together the marinade ingredients–fish sauce, coconut aminos, ginger, garlic, salt and pepper until fully combined. Place the fish in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over the fish. Marinade for 15-30 minutes.
- Step 3 In a separate bowl, toss the trimmed and quartered if large, halved if medium sized Brussels sprouts with the extra virgin olive oil and salt and pepper and fully cooked, chopped bacon (if you are using the bacon…trust me on this one…it’s SO good). Place the coated Brussels sprouts in a shallow baking dish and place inside the oven for 30 minutes until fork tender.
- Step 4 Cook the Salmon–Remove the salmon from the marinade and allow any extra to drip off back into the baking dish. Place the salmon fillets in the center of a baking dish and roast in the oven for 15-20 minutes depending on the thickness. Salmon cooking times can really vary depending on the thickness of your fillets, so check by using a fork in the thickest part of your fillet and flake a small portion of it off. If it flakes and has turned that pale pink/peach color, then it’s done.
- Step 5 Once the fish and Brussels sprouts have finished cooking garnish with chopped green onions, if desired. Enjoy!
