Heading into full-on summer mode, I knew that a new weekend cocktail was in order. Who’s with me? Raspberries are in season and Rosé wine is my forever soul sister. Together, these ingredients make the most beautiful music. Read on to capture the full essence of my new Raspberry Rosé Mule.
I LOVE craft cocktails just like I love scratch-made craft food. Creating food and cocktails with my hands is my love language.
It’s so enjoyable to create a craft cocktail that takes a *little* time (READ: a little more time than just opening a bottle cap or popping a cork) and is undeniably refreshing and delicious.
In the summer, combining ripe berries with garden herbs in an absolute delicacy.
I love the way fresh, sweet berries burst with juice when muddled with the herby, grassy notes of mint or basil…or whatever herb is in your garden or CSA basket that week.
My garden is full of herbs so this provides a blank canvas for constant creation. I’m not sad about that 😉
What EXACTLY Is A Raspberry Rosé Mule?
Here, in this refreshing summer cocktail, I combine some of my absolute favorite summer flavors of all time:
- Raspberries
- Fresh lime juice
- Fresh Mint leaves
- Ginger Beer (I love the slightly spicy kind)
- Rosé Wine (Y’all. I could Rosé all day if I didn’t have to ‘adult.’ I LOVE ice-cold, dry French Rosé wine in the summer. GAHHH!)
- A dash of raw, light-colored honey
For Starters…
Grab your cocktail shaker & muddler tool. If you don’t own a muddler, I must ask, “Why not?”
Ok, all joking aside, I understand a muddler tool is kind of a single-use item. So, in this instance I will move on and suggest you use something else to crush the raspberries and mint to release their juicy, herby flavors if you don’t own a muddler. Perhaps the end of a wooden spoon will do the trick!
Grab your fresh mint leaves and raspberries and muddle away until your mint leaves release a lovely aroma and the raspberries are left to only the pulp and seeds.
Add The Liquid Ingredients:
Next, you will add the juice of a lime, your favorite Vodka and Ginger Beer varieties (I like a slightly spicy Ginger Beer and a very clean Vodka), Rosé Wine and a little dash of honey.
Now…Shake, Shake, Shake!
Shake that shaker until all of the ingredients are combined and your honey is filtered throughout.
Pro Tip: Make sure all cocktail ingredients are at the same temperature for proper blending. If your honey is room temperature and your other ingredients are cold, the honey will get a little “gloppy” and not filter throughout your drink.
Pour + Enjoy!
Your last step is the easiest!
Using your sieve top on the cocktail shaker, strain the liquid out of the shaker and pour into your favorite chilled glass filled with ice cubes. I love using my Nachtmann low ball glasses for this cocktail or a stemless wine glass to make it fun!
Garnish with additional mint leaves or a lime wedge + Enjoy!

Until next time…Eat Well. Travel Often. Love Much.

Raspberry Rosé Mule
A perfectly refreshing summer cocktail awaits you! Muddled raspberries and mint combine with delicious ginger beer & a little Rosé wine - a winning combination!
Ingredients
- 8 mint leaves
- Juice of 1 small lime (about 1 oz.)
- 1 1/2 ounces Vodka
- 3 oz. Ginger Beer
- 3 oz. Rosé wine
- 1/4 cup raspberries
- 1 tsp. honey (optional, but very good if using a very dry wine)
Directions
- Step 1 In a cocktail shaker, muddle together the mint leaves and raspberries until the mint releases its fragrance and the raspberries are broken down.
- Step 2 Combine your favorite Vodka (I love Reyka Icelandic Vodka only because we drove by the factory when we visited Iceland & Tito’s Vodka – but use your favorite, high-quality Vodka here), Ginger Beer, Rosé wine and a little honey in the shaker.
- Step 3 Shake, Shake, Shake until it’s thoroughly combined.
- Step 4 Place several ice cubes in a low ball glass and using the strainer top on your cocktail shaker, strain out the liquid from the shaker into your low ball. Garnish with additional mint leaves if you wish.
- Step 5 Enjoy!
